Job description

Establishing a hub of digital design excellence and crafting compelling experiences throughout the client journey is our mission. Across four locations, we’re assembling a team that unites all creative and design talent. In this venture, Digital Experience and Design emerge as a pivotal capability within our creative department, destined to be the center of excellence for digital design. This spans the entire client journey, from public-facing websites to trading platforms and beyond.

As the leader of this capability, your role is crucial. You will inspire and challenge the team to elevate standards, delivering design work that aligns with strategy, brings our brand (and its experience principles) to life, and fosters innovative thinking across the organization. Your position in the leadership team of the creative department is central, and you will be responsible for all digital design output.

We expect a high standard for what defines “good,” and you’ll comfortably provide constructive feedback that motivates individuals and teams to surpass expectations. Confidently, you’ll question work that falls short of meeting our elevated standards.

  • Qualifications:
    • 8+ years experience managing and leading a design and UX team
    • Degree or diploma in marketing, branding or the creative art.
    • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and other design tools

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate and inspire a team of Product and UX Designers, to create inspiring experiences that meet, if not exceed, client expectations.
  • Create strong relationships across marketing, technology and product management to help define ways of working and to set the vision and direction for teams. Become a trusted partner for ECM to help deliver work to the highest quality.
  • Nurture and grow a leadership team within Digital Experience and Design and provide growth and development for your leaders and their reports.
  • Raise the visibility of Digital Experience and Design within the marketing department, reporting on progress and celebrating the team’s successes.
  • Actively participate in the leadership of the department building strong and productive relationships with other departemtns and stakeholders.
  • Build the culture of Digital Experience and Design, work with your leads to create a space where excellent design can flourish and where individuals are enabled and empowered to deliver the best work of their careers.
  • Keep close to the work that your team are producing by creating mechanisms for critique, review, sign-off and knowledge sharing. Create forums where ambitions can be raised and work challenged.
  • Manage the team resourcing to efficiently and effectively deliver a balance of strategic initiatives, product team support and ad-hoc requests.
  • Parner with business stakeholders to ensure design is represented at key strategic conversations.
