Our client, a leading global investment firm, is seeking a talented Payroll Manager to join their international team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment while managing payroll processes for entities across EMEA, with a primary focus on the Polish entity. 

About the Role: As a Payroll Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the Payroll team. You will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors, contributing to the success of a global asset management firm. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the daily workflow of the Payroll department, managing both in-house processing and third-party payroll services. 
  • Lead by example, driving results and fostering the professional development of the team. 
  • Set and implement department objectives, providing oversight and management of a team of finance professionals. 
  • Promote and implement process improvements to enhance global operations, reduce errors, and improve timeliness of deliverables. 
  • Collaborate with external payroll vendors to ensure timely and accurate service delivery. 
  • Partner with teams across the organization to meet local and regional payroll requirements. 
  • Stay informed about localized legal requirements, ensuring compliance and providing actionable recommendations to management. 
  • Review employee compensation, research, analyze, and resolve complex tax issues. 
  • Proactively address issues to prevent escalations. 
  • Oversee payroll implementation for new worldwide office openings. 

Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of finance and accounting experience, including demonstrated management experience. 
  • Experience managing end-to-end payroll processing in the EMEA region, with a focus on Poland. 
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll activities, including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. 
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and resourcefulness. 
  • Positive and flexible attitude to manage change and build relationships within the firm. 
  • Proficient in Excel with knowledge of VLOOKUPs, sum ifs, and pivot tables. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
