Role Overview: Our client are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior General Ledger Accountant with people management skills to join our Accounting and Financial Reporting Department, focusing on Alternative Investments. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the accurate booking of General Ledger transactions, monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting, and mentoring junior team members. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Execute full general ledger accounting processes. 
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance. 
  • Independently review work performed by Junior Accountants, providing constructive feedback and guidance. 
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of accounting standards, including IFRS and US GAAP. 
  • Ensure adherence to established procedures, best practices, and internal controls. 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in a similar role, showcasing expertise in full general ledger accounting, group accounting, or audit background. 
  • A primary degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of German and/or French is an additional asset. 
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail. 
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. 
  • Creative thinker with the ability to find innovative solutions.
