Job Description: We are actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Supervisor in General Ledger Accounting and Financial Reporting to join our client’s thriving team. Key Responsibilities: As a Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in the Alternative Investments department, working closely with the Team Lead to prepare comprehensive financial reporting packages.  

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and postings prepared by Fund Accounting Services teams. 
  • Preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual deliverables, including Net Asset Value reporting packs. 
  • Independent review of work prepared by team members to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of deliverables. 
  • Developing and maintaining a strong familiarity with accounting standards. 
  • Coaching and developing team members, providing feedback through periodic meetings and the firm’s performance appraisal process. 
  • Promoting a positive team atmosphere through leadership, effective communication, and professionalism. 
  • Assisting in special projects to improve efficiency, quality, and accuracy of work performed by the team. 
  • Ensuring adherence to all established procedures, best practices, and internal controls. 

What We Value: We are looking for a candidate with: 

  • A strong understanding of accounting practices and standards. 
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in the finance industry, accounting, or audit background, including a proven track record in team management. 
  • University degree in Accounting/Finance or gained through experience is an asset. 
  • Genuine passion for gaining finance knowledge and continuous self-development. 
  • Fluency in English is essential. 
  • Ability to work with limited direct supervision. 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks. 
  • Professional accountancy qualification as an advantage (qualified or part-qualified).
