Role Overview: As a Team Leader in GL Accounting, Reporting, and Consolidation, you will play a pivotal role in managing client servicing team resources, ensuring overall client satisfaction, and acting as a point of escalation for complex issues. The primary focus will be on accounting and financial reporting within the Alternative Investments Funds structures, specifically Real Estate and Debt Funds. We are seeking a creative thinker with people management experience, and prior exposure to Alternative investments is essential. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Client Servicing and Inquiry Response: 

  • Day-to-day management of operations, overseeing GL Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Consolidation under IFRS and Lux GAAP. 
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of client-related tasks. 
  • Develop and maintain familiarity with applicable laws, regulations, and interpretations governing accounting frameworks. 

Staff Supervision: 

  • Participate in the interview and selection process for job applicants. 
  • Assist new staff members in learning job-specific tasks. 
  • Provide regular feedback based on agreed-upon goals. 
  • Foster a cohesive team atmosphere through strong leadership and effective communication. 

Qualifications: 

  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in corporate full general ledger accounting, group accounting, or audit background. 
  • Primary degree in a finance or accounting-related discipline, and/or equivalent work experience. 
  • Strong experience in managing, mentoring, and coaching staff. 
  • Fluency in English is essential. 
  • Professional accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA) is an advantage.
